We did it!

I am extremely thankful for all the hard work, energy, and commitment you have given to this campaign. I'd also like to thank Senator Debbie Regala for her many years of public service as well as her unwavering support and mentorship. Most importantly, I am grateful to the voters of the 27th Legislative District for the responsibility they have entrusted in me as their next Representative in the Washington State Legislature. 

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 

I am excited by the results of this election and by the fact that voters in the 27th District have sent a clear message that it's time to get to work on a number of critical issues that affect our collective future -- namely, jobs, education, and transportation. It won't be easy, and we won't see progress overnight, but I am hopeful that our future holds great potential. I'd like to congratulate my colleagues, Senator-elect Jeannie Darneille and Representative Laurie Jinkins, and let them know that I am looking forward to meaningful and productive collaboration in our time together as we work toward this brighter future. 

I thank you for your support, I ask you for your help in the years ahead, and I promise that I will spend every day working for you. Now it's time to begin the real work!
